Who doesn’t love a good Vanilla Thickshake on a hot day? I remember having these when I was a kid and they certainly ticked all the boxes! These days, one is more conscious of healthy goodness, rather than just a sweet, thick drink – so…it’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a vanilla thickshake 🙁 So, if you are like me and get more enjoyment from feeling good after you have eaten – then I am sure you will enjoy making this in your Kuvings Vacuum Blender!

Dairy-free and full of goodness

This milky drink get’s its milk-like taste from Cashew Nuts. Equally, you could use Macadamia if you don’t have any cashews.

The sweetness is from Medjool Dates – so, if you like a sweet Vanilla Thickshake, then put the full quota of dates in. But, if you’d prefer a more vanilla milky shake, without the sweetness, I’d only put half the dates in.


  • 2/3 cup raw cashews
  • 6 Medjool datespitted*
  • 1 banana
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • pinch cinnamon
  • pinch sea salt

*If you like it sweet, add all 6 dates. If you don’t like it too sweet, only put 2-3 dates in.

Blended with Kuvings SV500 Vacuum Blender

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and place them into the blender as follows:

  • Place your cashews, dates, banana (break into small chunks), vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt
  • Next drop your ice cubes
  • Last tip your water onto the ingredients

Step 2: Blend all together in your Kuvings Vacuum Blender

  • Place the lid on the jug and the noise-reduction cover on
  • Touch ‘power on’ button
  • Select vacuum & blend button
  • Let the Blender do its thing.

Pour into glasses add a straw and enjoy!
