Spring Into Action – Weight Loss Juice Recipe

Description

This juice is all about the colour red. It’s the colour that puts a spring into your step. It’s a colour that gets you taking action and making things happen.

The first thing you will notice after making this juice is the amazing aroma of the strawberries when pressed in a cold press juicer. The texture is creamy, the flavour is sweet and you get a little chilli kick as an after taste.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 watermelon
  • 1 punnet strawberries (250g)
  • 1 long red chilli

Juicing Time: 3 mins
Juice Qty: 950ml

Preparation

Watermelon

  • Thinly slice the outer green skin leaving most of the white flesh intact. You can juice the green skin but it changes the colour and flavour.
  • Cut the melon into slices about two fingers wide
  • Cut the slices in long strips about three fingers wide

Strawberry

  • Pull off the small green leaves, you can juice them if you want
  • Juice whole

Chili

  • Cut off the stalk end
  • Cut in half lengthways and remove the seeds if you don’t want it too chilli hot, otherwise leave them in

Method

Another super easy juice to make using a cold press juicer.

Start by adding the long red chilli to the wide chute.

Next add all the strawberries. They juice easily and you don’t need to remove the stems.

Finish by adding the strips of watermelon.

 

Tip: Be sure to make some extra juice because this recipe is great as ice blocks for the kids (or the big kids!). Just leave out the chilli if you don’t want the kick or add in some mint for extra freshness.
