Tart and Tangy. The first smoothie in our Rainbow Series is ‘simply resplendent’ (richly colourful and sumptuous). This is a very easy smoothie to make and it’s even easier to drink. Kids and adults will love it and it’s packed full of healthy goodness.

Raspberries – powerful antioxidant and blood balancer

This tiny little fruit is jammed packed with amazing properties. Great for weight loss or any autoimmune disorders (arthritis, heart, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia etc.) and for helping to cleanse mucus and toxins from the body. Easy to digest and assimilate in the body, makes them wonderful for balancing our endocrine and reproductive systems.

Strawberries – repair agents

These tough guys, who carry their seeds on the outside are an all-round superfood. Great for our immune system and to help with autoimmune disorders (restless legs, crohn’s, asthma) as well as helping prevent heart disease and stroke by lowering cholesterol. Super low in calories, so they are fantastic for weight loss and overall optimum health.

Coconut – go nuts for coconut!

Super high in electrolytes and B-complex vitamins and minerals, coconut water is such a great addition to your smoothies (and your daily diet) that you will want to always have it on hand. With its anti-aging properties, it is also great for weight loss and a delicious way to hydrate your body. It reduces blood pressure and increases circulation and if you suffer from any of the autoimmune disorders, adding good quality Organic Coconut Water to your day, will be highly beneficial.

As a side note, not all coconut water is created equal. Many are highly processed and taste super sweet and just aren’t nice. Please don’t give up, try different ones until you find a brand you like because it is really great for your health to have coconut water on a regular basis. We use and recommend Chef’s Choice Organic Coconut Water – it is mild and not too sweet. 

Ingredients (2 Servings)

  • 1/2 cup Organic Coconut Water
  • 1/2 cup Organic Coconut Milk
  • 1 cup Frozen Raspberries
  • 1 cup Frozen Strawberries
  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 teaspoon Maple Syrup (or 1 pitted Medjool Date)

Tip: You can have any combination of fresh/frozen fruits as long as one of them is fresh (i.e. frozen banana/raspberries and fresh strawberries).

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and place them into the blender as follows:

  • Pour in your coconut water and milk
  • Add your frozen fruits
  • Add your fresh fruit
  • Add your sweetener

Step 2: Blend all together in your Kuvings Vacuum Blender

  • Place the lid on the jug and the noise-reduction cover on
  • Touch ‘power on’ button
  • Select vacuum blend option
  • Let the Blender do its thing.
