Filtered hot and cold water without plumbing
The CARA CA3001 Benchtop Reverse Osmosis Water Station combines advanced water filtration with everyday hot and cold water convenience.
Simply fill the removable 5.5L rear tank with mains tap water, plug the unit into a standard power point and select your preferred temperature and dispensing volume using the touchscreen display. No plumbing, tap connection or permanent installation is required, making it suitable for homes, rentals, apartments, offices and shared workspaces.
The six-stage filtration process includes sediment filtration, activated carbon, a 0.0001-micron reverse osmosis membrane, a final taste-polishing stage and alkaline remineralisation. This helps reduce a broad range of dissolved and particulate contaminants while adding calcium and magnesium back into the filtered water for a more balanced taste.
With nine temperature settings from 10°C to 98°C, the CA3001 can provide chilled drinking water, ambient filtered water, warm water and near-boiling water for tea, coffee and food preparation. The touchscreen also displays incoming and filtered-water TDS readings, heating and cooling status, dispensing information and the child-lock indicator.

Six-Stage Filtration System
Experience comprehensive water purification with our 6-stage advanced water filtration system.
- Stage 1: PP Cotton (Coarse Sediment) – removes dirt, sand, rust, and large particles.
- Stage 2: Pre-Carbon (Chemicals) – carbon filter removes chlorine, chemicals, odours.
- Stage 3: PP Cotton (Fine Sediment) – removes smaller particles missed in stage 1, and fine sediment
- Stage 4: RO Membrane (Purification) – the heart of the entire system that removes heavy metals, fluoride, microplastics, PFAS, PFOS, bacteria, viruses, and pharmaceuticals.
- Stage 5: Activated Carbon (Taste) – removes remaining odours and any unwanted aftertaste.
- Stage 6: Alkaline Minerals (Health) – reintroduces essential minerals like calcium and magnesium to restore a more balanced drinking experience.
This six-stage system helps reduce a broad range of dissolved and particulate contaminants while improving taste and odour.

What does the CA3001 help reduce?
The six-stage filtration system helps reduce a broad range of substances that may be present in mains tap water, including:
- Sediment such as dirt, sand and rust
- Chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours
- Dissolved solids
- Fluoride
- Lead and selected heavy metals
- Nitrates
- Microplastics
- PFAS compounds
- Selected bacteria, viruses and chemical residues
Published third-party testing provides specific reduction results for selected substances. Actual performance may vary depending on incoming water quality, contaminant concentration, filter age, usage and maintenance.
- Bacteria & Viruses: 99.30%
- Lead: 100.00%
- Chlorine: 99.67%
- Fluoride: 91.50%
- Microplastics: 100.00%
- Nitrates: 98.82%

This smart display simplifies water purification and temperature control, making the CA3001 an indispensable addition to your home.
Dual TDS monitoring
The touchscreen displays the TDS level of the incoming tap water and the filtered water.
TDS stands for total dissolved solids and reflects the combined concentration of dissolved minerals, salts and other dissolved substances in water.
The display can help you:
- Compare incoming and filtered-water readings
- Observe the performance of the RO membrane
- Monitor changes over time
- Identify when filter performance may be declining
A TDS reading does not identify individual contaminants and cannot confirm microbiological safety. Specific contaminants require appropriate laboratory or contaminant-specific testing.
No plumbing or installation
The CA3001 is a portable benchtop system.
To begin using it:
- Position the unit on a stable benchtop near a power point.
- Fill the removable rear tank with mains tap water.
- Install the filters as directed.
- Complete the first-use flushing procedure in the manual.
- Select a temperature and dispensing volume.
No plumber, tap adaptor or permanent alteration to the kitchen is required.
What’s included
- CARA CA3001 water station
- Water-station top lid
- 5.5-litre removable rear water tank
- Rear tank lid
- 1.8-litre portable filtered-water jug
- Jug lid
- Removable drip tray
- PPC + T33 filter cartridge

Filter Lifespan & Replacement Guide
The CA3001 takes the guesswork out of filter replacement by monitoring filter usage and letting you know when a filter needs changing.
- PPC + T33 Filter: Up to 2,000 litres
- RO Membrane: Up to 4,000 litres
How long each filter lasts will depend on how much water you use. A household using more filtered water each day will reach the filter capacity sooner than a household using less.
There’s no need to track dates or estimate when your filters are due — the CA3001 will alert you when it’s time to replace them.
Actual filter life may vary depending on incoming water quality and usage conditions.
Materials and water pathway
The internal water pathway uses LFGB-grade, BPA-free silicone tubing, while filtered water is dispensed through an SU304 stainless-steel outlet.
The external housing is made from durable food-grade ABS, and the portable jug is made from BPA-free, food-grade plastic.
Cleaning and care

Important water-source information
The CA3001 is designed for use with treated mains tap water.
Untreated rainwater, bore water, dam water and well water may contain elevated sediment, minerals, agricultural contaminants or microorganisms that can shorten filter life or exceed the intended operating conditions of the system.
Appropriate sediment filtration, disinfection and water testing may be required before untreated water is used.
