Liver Tonic Juice Recipe
Description
This recipe is your liver’s new best friend. It helps rejuvenate the liver’s deep core and instantly strengthen the liver’s immune system. The 4 ingredients are all liver-cleansing powerhouses that work to eliminate poisons stuck in the liver, safely escorting them all the way out of the body.
The raw nutrition found in Brussels sprout and asparagus is rarely eaten in raw form which is what gives this juice recipe its unique cleansing properties.
Apples provide living water to hydrate the liver and the fruit acids also help cleanse toxic films that build up inside the liver.

First, juice the brussel sprouts add them one at a time to the juicer.
Next, add the asparagus to the juicer followed by the lemon slices.
Finish the recipe with the apples adding them to the juicer one by one letting each apple fully press through before adding the next one.
Tip: smaller brussel sprouts are sweeter than larger ones. Make sure the outer leaves are green, not yellow and the heads are firm and heavy
Health Benefits
Asparagus
The asparagus plant is rich in the compound amino acid asparagine a natural diuretic that breaks up oxalic and uric acid crystals stored in muscles and in the kidneys and eliminates them through the urine. This is where asparagus gets its name.
Asparagus contains aspartic acid which is another amino acid that neutralizes excess amounts of ammonia in the body that is often the cause of exhaustion, headaches, and poor digestion
It is also high in glutathione which is an antioxidant powerhouse and particularly beneficial for those suffering from autoimmune conditions, liver disease, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes.
Asparagus is one of the most important Liver healing foods. It has a wealth of flavonoids that are highly anti-inflammatory and act as a natural asprin to soothe and calm a hot liver.
Brussels Sprout
The ultimate Liver cleansing food with the most powerful, beneficial sulfur that can loosen troublemaker toxins for the Liver.
Brussel sprouts contain powerful anti-cancer compounds which are shown to particularly help fight and prevent colon, breast, prostate, lung, bladder, liver, endometrial, and ovarian cancer.
Brussel sprouts are good for stimulating sluggish glands and for promoting a cleaning effect on fat cells and tissues making it an ideal weight loss food.
They contain high amounts of glucosinolates which can significantly reduce inflammation and is excellent for prevention and relief from rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, lupus, strokes, heart attacks, arteriosclerosis, and bursitis. Brussel sprouts are excellent for helping to lower cholesterol, prevent constipation, stop overeating, and decrease H.pylori in the digestive tract.
Apple
Apples are the "Queen of the Fruits". The old saying "an apple a day..." is truly ancient wisdom as they protect and heal every human body system and cell.
Apples are a true healing food.
Apple juice provides living water to support the liver’s hydration capabilities, so it can store the water and then release it back into the bloodstream when the blood becomes dehydrated and isn’t flowing very well.
Apples are high in a soluble fibre (still in the juice) called pectin that forms a gel-like substance in the intestine. This gel can bind to cholesterol, removing it from the body, which may aid in reducing blood pressure levels.
Apples also starve viruses. When their pectin fibers enter the digestive system, they release phytochemicals that bind onto viruses, shrouding viral cells so that they can’t feed and proliferate.
They are also high in malic acid that binds with any heavy metals in the brain. The word 'malic' comes from the Latin word 'malum', meaning 'apple' which is why I recommend to people who have brain or neurological symptoms to consume more apples.
Lemon
Lemons are a must have ingredient in any juicing kitchen. They help make veggie juices taste better and help fruit juices last long when stored in the fridge. Lemons are rich in bioflavonoids which can significantly boost the immune system and reduce inflammation in the body. Lemon juice is known to be particularly beneficial for colds, coughs, and sore throats.
Lemons act as a cleanser and astringent; they squeeze toxins from the tissues and stimulate the liver to detoxify. Lemon juice is good for asthma, headaches, pneumonia, and arthritis.
Lemon juice is also beneficial for removing poisons in the form of old drug residues from the body.
