Gold Rush Juice Recipe

by | Oct 6, 2022 | Breakfast Juice

Description

The golden nutrition in this juice recipe is a great way to start the day.

Fresh turmeric is pure gold. It is truly one of the most marvelous medicinal spices of the world. Its main active ingredient is curcumin, which gives turmeric its intense cadmium golden color.

Curcumin in turmeric has been shown that it can help prevent HIV from multiplying, It clears inflammation, can inhibit blood vessel growth in tumors, and of course tumors without blood vessels can not grow.

Taste

This juice has a sweet and spicy flavour. The Grapefruit bitterness is balanced well by the sweetness of the Golden Delicious Apples. It is a perfect breakfast juice.

Ingredients

  •
    • 5 golden delicious apples
    • 2 grapefruits
    • 1 turmeric piece (5cm)

Juicing Time: 3 mins
Juice Qty: 850 ml
Serves: 3

Preparation

Grapefruit

    • Remove the outer skin keeping as much white pith as possible
    • Cut into halves or quarters to fit in the wide chute

Apples

    • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
    • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds.
    • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute.

Ginger

    • Cut off a 5cm thick piece
    • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on

Method

You want to get the maximum nutrients from the turmeric so I start by putting the thin slices into the juicer.

Next juice the apples whole.

Finish with the grapefruit quarters to push all the ingredients and flavour through.

Tip: after making this juice recipe fill the bowl with warm water and add the grapefruit skins and a dash of liquid soap. Run the juicer for a minute or so to help clean the turmeric off the press.

Health Benefits

Apple, Golden

Golden apples if you can find them are deliciously sweet and juicy.

They are rich in carotenoids, a group of potent antioxidants. They’re also a good source of potassium, iron, and zinc.

The yellow light protects cells against radiation and helps build a sense of wonder reconnection and willpower.

The phytochemicals in apples make them a true brain food, feeding neurons, and increasing electrical activity.

Yellow apples have traces of flavonoids, rutin, and quercidin—phytochemicals that are responsible for heavy metal and radiation detoxification—as well as the amino acids glutamine and serine, which help detoxify the brain of MSG.

Grapefruit, Red

Grapefruits are exceptional fruits that have very strong anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties. They are a great source of vitamin C and bioflavonoids which help to boost the immune system and prevent aging, illness, and disease.

The Ruby Red grapefruits target the heart and blood. They help clear plaque from arteries and help lower blood pressure. Galacturonic acid (found only in grapefruit) has the ability to break up and dislodge fatty plaque buildup in the arteries and remove it completely from the body

Grapefruit juice also eases constipation and improves digestion by increasing the flow of gastric juices.

Research shows that pectin fibres (still in the juice), reduces appetite which can assist with weight loss and can lower cholesterol.

Grapefruit pectin also reduces the accumulation of atherosclerotic plaque in people afflicted with atherosclerosis and strengthens blood vessels and capillaries.

Grapefruit juice helps reduce fever and soothes coughs and sore throats. Consumed at night, grapefruit juice promotes sleep and alleviates insomnia.

Turmeric

Turmeric is one of the most studied spices in the world with thousands of people looking into its health and healing benefits every day.

Let's start with it boosting the health of your immune system through its amazing anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties it holds.

Note that the inflammation seen in chronic illness is due to the body’s natural immune response to a foreign presence such as a virus, bacteria, toxin — not, as many sources mistakenly say, due to the body turning against itself.

I think turmeric is critical to calm down anything in the body that’s inflamed and causing pain, from nerves to joints to inflammation in the brain.

Also after a workout or any heavy day's labor, try to consume more turmeric. It can shorten recovery time for muscles, ligaments, and joints after exercise, and it also acts as an antiinflammatory for any minor injuries.

The main component in turmeric, curcumin, has phenomenal anti-cancer properties and has been known to help to inhibit prostate, skin, colon, mouth, esophageal, lung, stomach, pancreatic, liver, and breast cancer.
