How do you make the BEST tasting Celery Juice?

It’s easy, make celery juice in a cold press juicer!

A cold press juicer produces more celery juice per bunch and better flavour as all the nutrients of the celery are maintained.

Masticating juicers, like the Kuvings range, more gently and slowly extract the juice from celery. In addition, they don’t generate as much heat during the juicing process. This helps to preserve as much of the nutrients in your celery as possible with minimal oxidation.

  • 1 large bunch of celery

The best celery juice starts with fresh celery. It needs to be stored in the fridge to maintain freshness.


Cut off the hard end of the celery bunch.
Rinse the individual stalks of celery and the leaves.
Chop the stalks into 20mm slices

Optional: cut off the leaves and discard for improved flavour

Add one handful of chopped celery to the mouth of the juicer.
Allow the juicer to chew and extract the juice before adding the next handful of chopped celery.
Repeat until the entire bunch of celery has been juiced.

Drink immediately for best results.

Celery Juice Benefits

Celery has a long and prestigious history of use, first as a medicine and then later as a food. The initial mention of the medicinal properties of celery leaves dates back to the 9th century B.C. when celery made an appearance in the Odyssey, the famous epic by the Greek poet, Homer.

While most people associate celery with its prized stalks, the leaves, roots and seeds can also be used as a food and seasoning as well as a natural medicinal remedy.

Here are some of the many celery juice benefits:

Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Support

Celery is an important food source of antioxidants, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, and manganese.

But its a category of phytonutrients that have been shown to provide anti-inflammatory benefits.

Digestive Tract Support

The pectin-based polysaccharides found in celery —including apiuman—appear to have special importance in producing anti-inflammatory benefits and digestive tract support.

Cardiovascular Support

Phenolic substances found in celery, phthalides are a major contributor to the unique flavor of this vegetable. Researchers have demonstrated that celery phthalides can act as smooth muscle relaxants, most likely through their impact on the flow of calcium and potassium inside cells and related nervous system activity involved with muscle relaxation.

Pthalides serve to relax the muscles of the arteries that regulate blood pressure. This allows these vessels to dilate. Pthalides also reduce stress hormones, one of whose effects is to cause blood vessels to constrict.

Drink celery juice on an empty stomach at least once a day.


The juice of raw celery has also been found useful in alcoholism. It is a neutralizer to alcohol so it has a sobering effect on the person. Half a glass of celery juice mixed with an equal quantity of water should be taken once daily for a month.

Great all round detoxifier and cleanser

The reason celery is such a great cleanser is because it contains a nutrient compound called coumarins.

Coumarins stimulate the lymphatic system and encourage increased circulation of lymphatic fluid. The lymphatic system is essentially the filtration system for the body (sending waste and toxins to the liver and kidneys for removal).

Stimulating the lymph system to work as efficiently as possible, enhances the rate at which toxins are removed from the skin. The result is healthier, brighter skin.

Coumarins are also being shown to enhance the activity of certain white blood cells and also help tone the vascular system.
