Carrot and Cocoa Smoothie
This carrot and cocoa juice is recommended for those who want to lower the blood cholesterol.
The taste is slightly bitter with a thick texture from the carrot and apple fibres.
- Carrot 250 g
- Apple 120 g
- Cacao powder 20 g
- Water 320 ml
Carrots with deep orange color and thin skin tend to have sweet and strong flavors.
Pectin in carrot alleviates arterial stiffness to improve blood circulation. Polyphenol in cacao powder is also very helpful for smooth blood circulation.
Add the water to the blender first followed by the carrots, cacao and apples.
Select the automatic vacuum and blend function to start blending all the ingredients.
- Chop carrots into small pieces
- Peel if not using organic
- Cut apples into quarters
- Remove the seeds and core
- Peel if not using organic or un-waxed apples
