Sweet and Delicious. The fifth smoothie in our Rainbow Series is ‘Blue By You’. You can really taste the pear in this smoothie. It is sweet, easy to drink and very satisfying. A great meal replacement or mid-morning snack.

Blueberries – heart health

With only a handful of blue coloured fruits and vegetables available to us, we are thankful that these little berries are available in plentiful supply! They might be small in size, but they are large in what they offer us. Helping to lower blood pressure, regulate heartbeat, helping to absorb iron better and of course, they are a power-packed antioxidant!

Pear – nature’s gift

Juicy and sweet. Pear offers us so much yummy goodness. They are a great anti-inflammatory and like blueberries, they help lower blood sugars and blood pressure. They are light on our digestive system and contain iodine which helps to keep the metabolism balanced and our thyroid functioning properly. And, if you need a bit of digestive help, they will also keep things moving.

Banana – healing staple

Nutritional and healing. Banana’s offer us up so much. They are just a great fruit to have on hand, frozen or fresh at any time of the year. They fill a hungry tummy and help with digestive issues. They are great to use when you are feeling a bit foggy or if you just need to feel a sense of calm. They give you energy and help to regulate a sleep-cycle. And, if you don’t eat them quickly enough and they are becoming over-ripe, peel them and pop them into the freezer for your smoothies!

Ingredients (2 Servings)

  • 2 cups Organic Coconut Water
  • 2 cups Blueberries (frozen)
  • 2 Banana (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 Pear (peeled and cored)

Tip: You can use a frozen or fresh banana

Step 1: Gather your ingredients and place them into the blender as follows:

  • Pour in your Coconut Water
  • Add your Pear Quarters
  • Add your Frozen Blueberries
  • Add your Frozen Banana

Step 2: Blend all together in your Kuvings Vacuum Blender

  • Place the lid on the jug and the noise-reduction cover on
  • Touch ‘power on’ button
  • Select vacuum blend option
  • Let the Blender do its thing.
